Before, during, and after my Climate Change Artist in Residence year (2023) at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center in Brattleboro, Vermont, I did a lot of reading about climate change and the role that plastic production and pollution play in it. I have put together a list of some of the books I’ve read and some resources for artists and others who are concerned about these environmental issues. These lists are by no means exhaustive, but I found them helpful as I was thinking about how to approach my own artistic practice moving forward.
